Balanced nutrition is essential for the mother and the baby’s health. Despite pregnancy being a temporary phase, it can have a lasting effect on a woman’s body and its likelihood to store fat if she does not follow a proper meal plan. Extreme calorie reduction during pregnancy could lead to the body entering starvation mode, which can lead to increase fat production and storage. Increasing fat is not considered a normal part of pregnancy weight gain, which is why it makes weight loss after pregnancy very difficult. This plan was designed to help pregnant women balance their nutrition in a way that ensures her health, her baby’s health and that her weight increase during pregnancy is within the normal ranges. Normal weight gain consists of the increase of fluids (blood and amniotic fluid), the weight of the placenta and the baby with minimal increase in fat deposit. This plan is designed based on your caloric requirement (based on month of pregnancy) and the body’s needs (weight increase, maintenance, or loss) with fully flexibility and without deprivation.
Note: This plan is not suitable for pregnant women with diabetes, if that is the case, it is preferable that you get the insulin resistance treatment plan and inform our team that you are pregnant. The plan will be modified to accommodate your pregnancy.
